Second movie in the MORTAL INSTRUMENTS franchise, City of Ashes, to go into production this fall

Good news, Shadowhunters! Martin Moszkowicz, executive producer for The Mortal Instruments series, confirmed via Facebook that the second book in the six-books series, City of Ashes, will go into production this fall.

Good news: The Mortal Instruments – City of Ashes will go into production this fall with Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower directed by Harald Zwart.

Jessica Postigo, who adapted City of Bones for a movie, will be penning this one as well. Director Harald Zwart will be returning too.

We had earlier heard that City of Ashes and City of Glass will be filmed back-to-back, but no update regarding that is available right now.

The first movie in the franchise opens in theaters on August 23rd. Are you guys excited?!
