Lady Midnight spoilers: Jace Herondale and Clary Fairchild quotes, bio and more updates

Posted on Updated on

Jace and Clary

It’s been over a week since the release of the latest Shadowhunters novel, Lady Midnight. It was an absolutely delightful return to the Shadow World, and I couldn’t have asked for better protagonists. Both Emma and Julian have grown so much and have such incredible journeys.

Apart from their own tales, Emma Carstairs also let us know more about two favorites – Jace Herondale and Clary Fairchild – and all the others since she’s been in touch with the New York Institute all these years. No doubt, there’s more to come.

Now that the spoiler-week is over, I have updated the bio, quotes and history sections for Jace and Clary all of which are located here. In the gone 5 years, Clary seems to have taken up the name Fairchild, just as Jace did with Herondale in CoHF. If you guys want to see more stuff added, let me know!

Happy ‘Lady Midnight’ release day, Shadowhunters!

Today, we return to the Shadow World again, Shadowhunters! Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn are taking us back in Lady Midnight, the first book of The Dark Artifices trilogy. BUT, there’s a lot to look forward to for Clace fans as well, so keep an eye out!

If you haven’t already raced to your local bookstore, you can order the book via the following links:

iTunes | Amazon | Book Depository

The site will remain spoiler-free for a WEEK – including Quotes and Bio sections for both Jace and Clary.

Happy reading and we’d love to hear what you thought of the book!

Entertainment Weekly has released the covers for the next two stories from ‘Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy’ e-series. The first Bitter Tongue, releases August 18 and the second, The Fiery Trial, on September 18.

When an Academy mission goes wrong, Simon is kidnapped by faeries (why is he always kidnapped?). He must escape the Fey, relying on his only ally, former Shadowhunter and Dark Artifices character Mark Blackthorn. – EW

Simon and Clary witness the parabatai ceremony of Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn…and discuss their own parabatai plans in this precursor to The Dark Artifices. – EW

I’m especially excited for The Fiery Trial, since it leads us directly into The Dark Artifices.

Jace Herondale gives Julian and Emma advice in new ‘The Dark Artifices’ snippet

All hail Cassie Clare for giving us some more time with Jace Herondale! In a new snippet from The Dark Artifices that the author posted on her Tumblr, Jace gives Julian Blackthorn and Emma Carstairs some parabatai advice.

Read it below:

“You’ve got a lot of responsibility now,” Jace said to Julian. “You’ll have to make sure Emma winds up with a guy who deserves her.”

Julian was strangely white-faced. Maybe he was feeling the effects of the ceremony, Emma thought. It had been strong magic; she still felt it sizzling through her blood like champagne bubbles. But Jules looked as if he’d been slapped.

“What about me?” Emma said, quickly. “Don’t I have to make sure Jules winds up with someone who deserves him?”

“Absolutely. I did it for Alec, Alec did it for me — well, actually, he hated Clary at first, but he came around.”

“I bet you didn’t like Magnus much, either,” said Julian, still with the same odd, stiff look on his face.

“Maybe not,” said Jace, “but I never would have said so.”

“Because it would have hurt Alec’s feelings?” Emma asked.

“No,” said Jace, “because Magnus would have turned me into a hat rack.”

If it isn’t Jace being so… Jace. So excited to see more from TDA!
